(Introduction of Bulawayo)
Bulawayo, known as the City of Kings, is more than just a geographic location. It is a living archive of African legacy, resistance, and reinvention.
Founded in the 19th century by King Mzilikazi, Bulawayo served as the political and spiritual heartbeat of the Ndebele nation. But this land’s sacredness predates even the royal residences. From the balancing rocks of Matopos to the ancestral shrines nestled in the western hills, Bulawayo is spiritually coded terrain.

Our Afrocentric lens lets us see the city not just as a relic but as a rhythm-a pulse of precolonial brilliance, colonial resistance, and postcolonial resilience. Afrocentricity here is not a theme-it s the essence.
As we walk its dusty roads and hear the clang of industry, let us remember the spirit of those who built, bled, and blessed this land
